Who: Everyone in town? Or everyone who wants to come :) What: St. Patty's Day Party!! Where: Ara! When: March 17th, Evening ish? Rating: Um...Pg? Pg-13ish?
"I'm just providing the place, Sunshine! You're the fantastic party planner and got this all arranged! It looks fabulous!" He looked around his little (well, nicely sized) home and grinned amicably, red eyes returning to the perky blonde.
"You look stunning, by the way, Miss Lulu." He winked, "And I simply demand a dance with you later!" He'd hold her to it, as well!
Then the door opened and the festivities were beginning. "Gentle Kara!" Said by way of hello. "Have you thought anything about what I said?" About taking a job here at the bar.
Lulu laughed, grinning over at Lorne. "Thank you! And I will definitely dance with you! Whenever you want. I'm free all night!"
She noticed the woman entering Ara in a green shirt. "Well it's certainly the right holiday for that!" Lulu felt like she'd seen the girl around town even though they'd never really talked before.
Kara glanced over at the girl, she didn't know her, didn't know if she wanted to either.
"Yeah, lets do it, you me, we'll make a great team." Kara said to Lorne. "I just gotta get caught up on what names of drinks are on this planet. You got a book around here?"
"We would make a great team! And, Honey Girl, have I books!" He laughed, already moving and shaking to go get the small book that many bartenders actually did have.
This was presented to Kara with a wink. "You study up on that, Pumpkin, and then you can play back behind the bar. But tonite, you make sure to get some fun in." He pointed a finger at her in slight, but cheerful, chastisement.
"Oh! Where's my manners!" He looked back to Lulu and smiled broadly. "Lulu, this is Kara. Kara, Lulu."
Lulu put a hand up in an almost wave. "Nice to meet you, Kara." It was nice to meet new people. Even people who'd been in town for a while and weren't strictly new. Oh. Wait. Kara. The one who was Zak's ex-fiancee. Moira had mentioned her. Well. Interesting. Very interesting.
"Hello," Kara shook her hand. "So, just to satisfy my curiosity," she looked at both Lorne and Lulu. "Who the frak is Saint Patrick? Why is he so special? and why the frak is green important? For us, green is Demeter's color, for you know, spring and growth and all that."
"I only understand it from a business point of view, Gentle Kara. And from a 'I'll never be pinched!' point of view." Because..he was kinda green all year round after all! That last part was said with a wink, "Unless some adorable person wants to pinch me a little. Who am I to say no!" And that part was said with a grin!
After his little quip, red eyes turned to Lulu as well. "Could you explain, Princess?"
Lulu smiled. "Sure. Saint Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland? And he, um, drove snakes out of Ireland or something. And the green is the color associated with Ireland? But it might be also because of spring." She was sure Moira would've explained better, being from Ireland. But Lulu shrugged.
Who was this, St. Patrick anyway? What in the gods name was a Saint?
"Hail Hail, I'm here and I wanna get DRUNK!"
Kara danced a merry little dance as she entered the establishment. Wearing a green shirt, which seemed to be important to the holiday somehow.
