Church hadn't made a real effort to hide the fact that it was him who'd drawn the picture. He hadn't tried to hide his handwriting, he'd called her 'Bitch Pants McCrabby' on the picture, and, really... who else would have the guts to do something like that? The balls? When Tex kicked open the door she'd notice an open notebook on the end of the bed, with a page torn out, and a black marker and pink highlighter sitting on top of it. Yeah. No real effort to hide it. But she wouldn't find Church in that room.. he had just been heading to his room, but when he saw her standing in the doorway, arms raised like she was holding.. yeah, her gun wasn't in its holster. Shit. He dropped the bowl of ice cream he had in his hand but kept the spoon, and turned to run back to the stairs, hopping right over the railing and landing with a harsh thud as he tried to get out of sight. He didn't want to get shot!

She fired after him-- and she was good enough that she'd hit him. But she only got him in the shoulder as he ran. And she didn't follow. Tex had more important things to do right now. So once he was out of her sight, she was tucking her gun back into it's holster and moving to start gathering up his things: Notebook, sheets off his bed, his clothes (York's clothes.. but York had replaced them by now), shoes.. she threw everything of his she could find onto his comforter on the floor, and she wrapped it up, then bent to pick up the pile, and moved out of his room. Down the stairs. And Church would be smart to have run by then.

He'd run, alright, but he hadn't left the house. She'd hear him curse when she hit him in the arm but it wouldn't stop him from getting out of sight. Out of dodge. He'd found a closet down the hall from the kitchen and had holed up inside of it, to lick his wounds.. or, rather, wait for the hole in his arm to heal itself.

Maybe York would find him. York would defend him from the big, bad wolf.

He was a silly man. York had gone to woo young River. Poor Church was all alone. And once she got down the stairs and outside, she was dumping his comforter full of possessions onto the edge of the lawn, near the sidewalk, then she came back inside, pulling her gun out again.

"Leonard!" That was shouted out into the house. "You have ten seconds to come out, or I'm going to find you. And when I find you, I'm going to kill you and drop your body in the street. Ten. Nine. Eight--" And she'd count down.
