Ianto was never satisfied with just one thing to do. He loved the coffee shop and he loved taking care of Jack (technically two things to do) but he also had his pet projects (and visiting Tosh in the library with her favorite drink). He had a folder in his arms, filled with theories and ideas and imaginings about this town and also, embarrassingly, with doodles and hearts and names.

He stopped short at the sight of goldfish finning lazily through thin air and smiled to himself. "Miss Delirium? And Barnabus, unless I'm mistaken. How are you?"

The girl smiled even more brightly when she realised that it was Ianto who made the movements and created the shadows that were proper sizes. "Tut tut, looks like rain!" A point to the sky while Barnabas gave a quiet doggy noise in greeting and answer to his question.

"We are wells. Wishing wells, maybe! Wishes in copper and silver." She hopped down one of the steps to meet him halfway and looked up. "How is Yantos and warmth in cups?"

Rain? Really? Ianto held a hand out, palm up, fingers outstretched as if welcoming a drop or two. When nothing turned up in his hand, he pulled it back. "Does sort of look like it might rain, but it's holding off. I'm well enough," he replied, smiling down at the girl with the lava hair. "Were you visiting the library?" He never really knew how to treat Delirium, when they talked. Half the time he reverted back to how he treated his nephews. So far, it seemed to work.

Well, maybe no rain yet. But soon. Perhaps. Or maybe it was already raining for Delirium. One never knew. She watched in wry amusement as he offered his hand toward the sky and waited. "Not here yet. Rains elsewhere in city. Or maybe people hope for it?" Mm. Then he spoke about the library and she nodded.

"The house of books also houses Dels. Cozy-warm and with lots of friends." It worked, his treating her like he treated his nephews. She knew his intentions were well-meant. And besides, it was sometimes entertaining observing how much like a child people treated her when she was older than all of them put together.

Of course, she only thought about that at random moments. Now, was not one of those moments. The goldfish swam through the loosely tied bows of her sneakers, air fish as they were, and then started lazily making their way back toward the library. "Visits with books and words..and people, too."
