Well, if this didn't suck.

The glower she wore looked strange on her 13 year old body.

She slid onto a bar stool, annoyed and tired.

"Yo, bartender, hand me a drink."

Laura looked over when a little kid, a lot younger than her, tried to order a drink.

"Um, I think you're going to be a little too young to get a drink..." she said as she tucked her hair behind her ear.

She didn't recognize the voice at first, otherwise she wouldn't have answered the way she did. "Why don't you frak off lady?"

Kara flipped the long hair she'd suddenly ended up with out of her face and looked at the woman.

Oh, shit.

"Madam President? Is that you?"

Laura held up two hands. "Sorry. I was just saying..."

She paused and arched an eyebrow. "President? Definitely not. I'm in school and I'm going to be a teacher. Not the President."

Oh dear. Lorne was going to need a drink himself. But he focused on making hot chocolate. And tea. He was going to put some tea on as well.

"I don't know if your books would have anything on me, Poppet. But if you like, I might be able to find some books that do! I'm from a different dimension, Pylea." Although, even the books wouldn't explain Lorne too well. He was far far different from the rest of his people.

He turned around at the new voice and lifted his eyebrows. Oh double dear. He looked between Kara, Laura, and Lee..then to..Bill? "Bill!" Then he waited for the reaction.

Remus nodded some when offered the book. "I would, please." He loved new books. And he hadn't ever heard of Pylea, or anything similar at all. "Thank you for making me the hot chocolate, sir." He shifted so that he was on his knees on the stool, and lifted himself so he was leaning on the bar, relaxing just a bit in this environment, and with the odd-looking man making his chocolate treat.

"Just Lorne. Sir makes me feel..like someone I'm not." He had never been a sir. Just Lorne. The hot chocolate was made, and a pinch of cinnamon and vanilla placed in the mug. Then he handed it over.

"Can I tell you something, Cub?" Name change, continuously until he settled on one. Lorne liked them both so far. "I appreciate your curiosity." This said with a genuine smile before he returned to checking on the tea. The adults were going to need it.

He was going to end up Mr. Lorne, unless he corrected the child again. But he was curling both small, glove less hands around the mug to warm them, leaning his face over it. "Have you got any marshmallows?" Quietly asked, with tired blue eyes lifting up to the green man.
