Lorne had been moving chairs and tables and such, to assure that children would have enough room to run around and stuff. He came back into the the main area, surprised then to see two teenagers.
Did they change into all ages? Sal slid Starbuck a non-alcoholic drink, eyeballing the blonde.
The demon worried now. Children were different. They'd accept a green man with horns a little more easily. Teenagers? Last time he dealt with people who thought they were teenagers, he was knocked out! Ahh well. Bite the bullet! He came across the floor and smiled warmly. "Are you two alright?" It was going to take a moment to discern who they were!
Laura looked in surprise at the green man in front of her, and she stammered a little. She was raised not to be rude, and she really was so confused. "I...I don't know where I am. I've never been to this place before," she frowned.
Que the look of confusion. Apparently, gentle Starbuck remembered that she was supposed to be older, but...goodness gracious was that Laura? Laura did not.
"Sorry, Pumpkin. Sal's very adamant about the no drinking until you're of age rule, bless his heart. And you look so very young for your age!" Besides, at the moment. Drinking wasn't going to be the answer. He didn't need drunk teenagers running around. Sober ones were difficult enough!
Turning to Laura, he smiled gently. "You have, actually. You were the first one to see it before it opened. My name's Lorne, and my visual bark is so much worse than my actual bite." Said with a wink. He noted that she didn't have Tamara..but was hoping that Bill did. One problem at a time!
Laura rubbed her forehead. "This is all so confusing. And I don't mean to offend, but I think I would remember you. Unless that woman was right and I do have amnesia. But I don't..." She sighed and shook her head. "Of course I don't remember."
Chewing on the inside of her cheek, she shook her head. "I just want to go home," she mumbled. Teenage Laura did not remember that home had been nuked.
"You have a sort of amnesia, Laura. You remember what has happened only to the point that you've regressed to. It's.." Well, it was complicated is what it was. "But you're safe here." He assured her with a small smile.
And glanced to Kara. Oh, Pumpkin. One problem at a time! Well, one supposed that it was time to deal with that. "You're here with someone you're close to. Bill Adama. Does he have a baby girl with him?"
Laura frowned deeply, then looked from the girl to the green man.
"I haven't seen anyone else. But there was a baby. The mother told me about this place and said that the baby was hers. She was so panicked and accused me of stealing her baby, but I would never do that..."
"Do you remember who the woman was? She give you a name? What did she look like?" Lorne managed to keep a level head, or tried to anyway. Who would do such a horrible thing? Maybe someone who regressed to a point of thinking they had a baby still.
Now, who had children? He was racking his brain to think of that one. "Gentle Kara, you still remember everything..That's interesting."
Laura frowned deeply. "But I don't have a baby. She never told me her name though. She was tall...short ash blond hair. She called the baby Tamara," Laura tried to offer helpfully.
Kara shrugged at Lorne, "Don't ask me, I'm glad I kept it, or we'd be in even deeper shit."
This version of Laura was REALLY trying her patience, "Yes, you do have a baby. the baby you and the old man adopted, and have been obsessing over. Tamara. How could you..." Kara bit her lip. "Can I have that drink now?"
The glower she wore looked strange on her 13 year old body.
She slid onto a bar stool, annoyed and tired.
"Yo, bartender, hand me a drink."
Reply
"Um, I think you're going to be a little too young to get a drink..." she said as she tucked her hair behind her ear.
Reply
Kara flipped the long hair she'd suddenly ended up with out of her face and looked at the woman.
Oh, shit.
"Madam President? Is that you?"
Reply
She paused and arched an eyebrow. "President? Definitely not. I'm in school and I'm going to be a teacher. Not the President."

"What the frak is this stuff? Great, not only did I shrink, but I can't get drunk anymore," Kara said, almost growling at Lorne.

If she didn't remember the nuking, didn't remember her, then... oh no.
"Oh, Gods, where's the kid? Tell me the old man has her?"
