The Doctor's initial thought still held true. This was very bad. The town was crawling with confused children with a few frazzled adults mixed amongst them. Whatever they had done, and it was as much his fault as Chloe's, time was turning around on itself.

He made a beeline for the Mayor's Mansion, needing to check on Rose, the Master and River. He popped his head into the Mayor's office, to find a child who looked very much like the Master's secretary being comforted by the maid.

The Doctor took the stairs two at a time up to the living quarters. He heard the squabbling before he even reached the Master's room.

Not good.

When he stepped into the room, he had to hold back a laugh. It wasn't funny, it really wasn't, but he couldn't help the huge grin.

"Well look at you lot," he beamed at all of them.

"You haven't earned it yet, Koschei," the Doctor said, smirking at the other Time Lord. "However, you may call me Doctor. I haven't been Theta in ages."

Alright, so he was feeling just a tad smug about it all.

He clapped his hands together, looking around the room. "Right, here's what we're going to--where's River?" he asked, running to the door and looking down the hall. "River!" he shouted, but there was no answer.

Great, he'd already lost one.

"Rose," he said, holding out a hand and wiggling his fingers at her. "Come here, please. I can't have you wandering off as well."

Rose's eyes went wide and her ears burned as she stepped forward and took his hand with her sweaty one. It was really gross how sweaty her hand was, but she couldn't help it.

"I'm not nine," she grumbled.

"I will not call you Doctor. It's a ridiculous name," Koschei scoffed. "Master does suit me, I think."

Koschei closed his eyes, trying to break down the barriers around his mind. He knew there was something there, but he couldn't quite get to it.

"I know you're not, Rose, but if anything happened to you, Jackie would find a way to come take it out of my hide," the Doctor said, squeezing her hand. "Just stick close, yeah?" he asked, smiling at her.

"And you," he said, looking at the Master, "have no call to be making fun of names. As if the name you end up choosing isn't pretentious and beyond egotistical," he scoffed.

Letting out a breath, he ran his fingers through his hair. "We really need to get to the TARDIS so I can sort this out."
