By contrast, Integra was not quite the portrait of the "lady" she'd been on Halloween. She was back to the usual wear -- the soft dark fabrics of double-breasted suits and feminine cravats (pinned with a crucifix, of course.) She understated her classic beauty.

Of course Integra wasn't nervous. What reason would there be for that? But it didn't stop her from the awkward feeling of going about without an escort.

Ringing the doorbell, Integra stepped back, fully prepared to turn and leave if he didn't appear.

Luckily for her, the door swung open not that long afterwards, revealing one Admiral. Who was not feeling awkward at all. Oh, no.

"Ah, Sir Integra!" Pellew exclaimed brightly. "Good of you to join me." He gestured towards the open doorway. "We still have some time to spare - d'you want to come inside?"

She was relieved not to be waiting, almost fishing into her pockets for a cigarette before the door opened for her. Nervous habits -- she tried to break them.

"Yes, thank you." Integra nodded her greeting with a pleased smile. "I shall admit -- I'm quite curious as to the nature of this glowing cutlery."

"It needs to be seen to be believed," he said with a chuckle, leading the way into the kitchen. "Miss Byrne was kind enough to assist me in ah, 'cleaning up' most of them, but," here he opened a cupboard and pulled out a fork, "I managed to keep one - if only to prove that I was not completely imagining things."

Sir Edward placed the offending utensil on the kitchen bench. The room was dim enough, for it to be seen clearly that the fork was...yes, glowing.
