New Unprompted Fic - 1bindigo_angelsFebruary 10 2013, 17:30:37 UTC
“Right,” Eddie looked relieved which made Hannibal offer up an ironic grimace. Eddie and Face had only met twice in the last year, when Face’s brief and infrequent visits to the care home where Adele Armando was currently recuperating overlapped with Eddie’s, and Hannibal found it amusing how nervous the older man seemed to be around him. “Well,” the P.I. licked his lips, showing every inch of that nervousness as he spoke, “it’s probably better I suppose that he’s not here right now

Eddie, to give him his due, had tried to explain Face’s fugitive status to her, but her understanding seemed to have been a little compromised from the bullet in her brain as well. So, at regular intervals, every four to six weeks generally, Hannibal received a text or a call from Eddie asking, no pleading with him to try and get Face to visit his mother, telling him how hard Adele was finding his absence, how she cried and asked for him and wanted to know why he stayed away. Of course Eddie would never tell her the truth, he didn’t even know most of it, so Hannibal just kept putting him off, telling Face in a round-about way that she’d asked about him, and hoped the mess would somehow sort itself out

Clap hands a sequel to A Mothers Love brilliant. I've read and read that several times and absolutely love it. Then to find a sequel in my inbox on a cold and wet Sunday brightened up my day!
Love how Adele has no memory on what happened but is so proud of her son showing of his picture and also Face himself when he finally goes to visit her. Also how Face is acts around her after everything that has happened and also Hannibal who as usual is there for his boy.
But now Eddie has found his father. Will wait with bated breath for the next part.

I'm absolutely thrilled you are writing a sequel to 'A Mothers Love', and what a great start! Sounds like Face has had a tough few months, and to have Adele not remembering anything of her actions, just wondering why her son hasn't visited, well that's just awful for everyone involved. It's good to see Hannibal not wanting to lie to Face but still clearly protective of his boy. And how typical of Face to be the perfect son when he visits Adele, only to break down later.
And now Eddie thinks he's found Face's father?!? I can't wait to see where you take this!

First of all *icon love* for the new one.
That last sentence is a ticking time bomb! ;-) How's everybody going to reat?!!!
It was very interesting how everything had developed during the last year. The relationship with Adele, Face going to a therapist, Hannibal never forgiving Adele.
The way you describe Eddie makes me feel really uneasy around him.

Yeeeeeee a sequel totally bouncing up and down now…..
Oh Face trying to be so indifferent about what Eddie wants. I reckon maybe he wants to know but would much rather hear whatever it is from Hannibal. He trusts Hannibal ‘s judgement but now their relationship has grown, the trust is there now that Hannibal will not hold anything back or lie to him.
Umm, not sure that Hannibal should let go of his mistrust of Adele quite yet.
And the bombshell at the end, brilliant- thank you so much for writing a sequel :D

Sorry I was late starting to read. A Mother’s Love is my second favourite fic of yours and I am thrilled to see a sequel :) (the first still has to be Long And Winding Road but only just)

Oh it's totally fine - don't worry! I'm just thrilled that anyone reads ever.
It's funny hearing about favourites... I do like LAWR, and AML too, but my favourites tend to shift with my mood. I think at the minute it is Nowhere Man.
The Sins of the Father - 2aindigo_angelsFebruary 13 2013, 21:41:23 UTC
Face stretched out and flicked the radio back off again, realising that there was only so much happy pop a man could listen to in one session, especially when his mind was currently on whatever the hell was happening over the road in that cafe right now. He cracked open one eye and looked over to see Hannibal still sitting in exactly the same position as he had been the last time he’d peeked, the last five times in fact.
“Shit, Face...” he muttered to himself under his breath, “if it’s bothering you that damn much - just go over there and listen to the guy yourself!” But he knew that he wouldn’t, to do that would be to open up the possibility that Eddie could say something, tell him some nugget of information, that he couldn’t deal with, and then what would he do? Losing his grip in front of Hannibal and the guys, in front of his damn therapist was bad enough, but losing it in front of Eddie? No way in hell was he going to do that - ever

Isn't is typical how Adele always manages to come up smelling of roses??? She has the luck of the damned that woman!
And as usual Face and Hannibal are left having to adapt for her.
But yes, Eddie has found his father - or so he thinks!

Face has definitely had better years that's for sure, and Adele's memory issues have worked out well for her at any rate...
But yes - Eddie thinks he's found Face's father... I wonder what Face thinks of that!

Ticking time bomb indeed! With everyone's emotions still so raw I wonder if Eddie has any idea what a can of worms he's opened!

I was going to let you know when I started posting, but didn't want put you on the spot if you weren't bothered about reading!
It's not going to be anywhere near as long and twisty as A Mother's Love - but maybe not as controversial either (hopefully!) ;)
Thanks for reading!!!! :D
