My only qualm with moving is the money factor. I really don't want to pay for two places at once. Will an icon-cheat be allowed in posts? That way we can link back to icons we want to use from an old account. It may look lopsided, with the icon in the comment box, but it might do in a pinch.
Would there also be a chance of a poll to move back (I know, what a pain, etc etc) if the S2 is decent? Or holding out until the S2 is released to decide?
I've got to say that for some of us-- myself, at least-- we know we're going to be losing money, or paid time... and are okay with that sacrifice. I don't want to come back to LJ if we move. Ever. I don't want to give them money. I don't want to pay for accounts here.

I'm fairly sure that several other people feel similarly. If you're okay with supporting a group with terrible customer service and lousy treatment of it's long time supporters, that's your prerogative. But if we move off to Dreamwidth-- and then tried to move BACK... I know I wouldn't be coming back to Atarax to LJ.
Yeah, the moving back would just be a pain in the ass. My point is that I've already put my money down; I paid for a year. I think it'd be a little hasty to move without even having the chance to see what the hell they have in store for the S2 style.

I have already snagged the same username at Dreamwidth, just in case. Personally, I am for moving. If AX doesn't decide to move, I am afraid to say that will put me in a position to drop. I no longer wish to pay for livejournal, as the customer service is the problem. Really, a company that cannot take into any consideration at all about those that pay them to do what they do does not deserve my hard earned money. LJ staff has also proved to be quite sarcastic if not rude about this entire affair and I do not see it improving. While I realize that others still have paid time on their accounts, and I am not saying that they should not get their monies worth, it can alienate others. That can go both ways, really. I know that the reason I have not been active in the community as of late is because I do not want to invest the time into this game if I am going to have to drop it. Actually, I have good news on the icon front! When you do a journal import from LJ to DW, you can choose to import all your icons, with keywords and comments intact. You can also keep doing the icon cheat, if you want.
So what if you have... 103 pics but you have an unpaid account on DW - when you transfer the pics, will it transfer ALL of them, or just the amount the unpaid account is able to have?
I'm really not fond of the new layout at all, and since I do a lot of tagging from mobile devices and this commenting system is far from accessible in that medium, I really wouldn't mind a move. It's just difficult for me to use LJ now, even in a general sense, and with all the changes that are apparently in the works for lj, I don't see that improving. If the game were to move, I would most likely follow

CROSSPOSTIN'I'm all for a move. I'll stay if the game stays, but I'd love to head over to DW. Having spent the last week or so tinkering around over there, it functions just like old!LJ and has a FANTASTIC staff that is vastly more transparent and approachable than LJ's. They are also much more accommodating to RPers which is a bonus. And since Ataraxion is still a new game it shouldn't be hard to all to transfer all the communities over when it's available to free users
