So, I've just finished re-watching the third and final season of Forever Knight. And, man, I really wish there were some commentaries on these discs, because I don't think I have ever found myself wondering so frequently or with such genuine bemusement, "What the heck were they thinking?"

I have a vague recollection that Nigel Bennett was a co-author of a couple of vampire novels; at least, his face is on the covers.

And I believe he did co-author some vampire books with P.N. Elrod. I haven't read them, although Elrod's "Vampire Files" series isn't bad, so maybe I should check them out if I ever feel the need for more vampire novels in my life.

It was! Although, yeah, S4 of Lexx... talk about a freakish mix of good and bad elements. :)
What kind of gets me about S2 of FK is that I find it weirdly hard to sort out the genuinely bad from the compelling. It's sort of all tangled up together sometimes. (The final episode, actually, is a classic example of that.)
And Vachon in Casablanca is a vastly amusing idea. Hee! Although, really, Vachon is one of those things about S3 that I kind of have to shake my head over... They made such a huge big deal out of introducing him and trying to bring him into the story, but it seems like almost nothing ever came of it, and it never felt to me like he had all that much in the way of a personality. Although at least he got more development than his buddies. I'm still not entirely sure why they were even there.
