Ficcy Stuff

I know, I know. I have been around LJ surprisingly little of late. This is largely because last week was a giant, sucking abyss of sleep deprivation and circadian fucked-upedness like you would not believe. Fortunately, the pattern of my days and nights seems to be settling down into something vaguely approaching normal now, at least for some ( Read more... )

But I want more than one of those things...

I know, it's so cruel of me to make them radio buttons and force people to actually pick one. :)

I was tempted by the crossover thing, but you know how, err, interesting my crossover suggestions can get...

I'm really not surprised that most people are going for the crossover thing, but I don't know if I'll do that one, anyway. It's fun to sit around going, "Ooh, he should meet people X, Y, and Z!", but actually writing it requires a lot more ambition. Also, there is considerable potential for it to get, as you say, "interesting." :)

I'm not sure the world really needs yet another "Journey's End" fixit story,
Yes! Yes it does!

As for the poll, I voted for the crossover one, naturally, but if I'd had a second vote I would have gone with the happy-ending one. Because they deserve it, darn it!

Heh. I guess fandom's still not tired of them. :)

So very, very true. And yet, so difficult to imagine. *sniffle*

Oh, some parts of fandom are very tired of them. But I trust that you will be writing one which is sufficiently creative to be interesting.

And yet, so difficult to imagine.
Consider it a challenge; the good kind. 8-)

I was going to vote for a sequel to the vampire story, but the multiverse crossovers were just too appealing.

I have to get back into watching TV series. I am hopelessly behind on TP, B5, and Farscape.

I know what you mean. I've got all those Trek discs I bought still to watch, and a whole bunch of The Avengers, and way too damned much other stuff, on top of the steady stream of Netflix discs.

If it helps spur you on any, I seem to recall that you have some interesting Pretender eps coming up from where you left off. :)

I know! But then I feel guilty about the B5 and Farscape rewatches which I should catch up on first, and for some reason this prevents me watching at all. Probably because it then becomes a duty whereas before I was watching them both for sheer enjoyment. Stupid brain.

I should though. Because then I could sit in the TV room and Claudia could sit on my lap (she rarely comes into this room now, preferring her heat pad in there) and this would be good because I don't know how much time she has left. :-(

Aww, yeah, that's no good! Entertainment is supposed to be entertaining, not a duty. :) Maybe you should just let the rewatches go, if you're not that into them? Or just watch the week's episode when you feel up for it?

And, aww, cat-snuggling is good. At least you have time to get some Claudia-snuggling in, still.
