Missing Thanksgiving this year. . . .

When I flew to Hawai'i, my travel agent got me first class seats that were cheaper than the economy seats on other airlines. (I flew American)

The first class seats were wide and had LOTS of leg room!

Yeah, we've done first to Hawaii and back (different trips) with upgrades. We just can't really afford to buy those tickets ourselves (especially not to Hawaii with two airlines that went there going under, demand is high).

Oh yeah, M put in the upgrade request last night so we'll be on the wait list for the next few months. Hopefully his status plus the fact that we filed the request early means that we'll get the upgrade.

M however is opposed to me asking very sweetly at check in and the gate what the business class situation is given that we're on our honeymoon and would really like to upgrade with our miles. I tried to tell him that would probably be a nice change for them- someone wanting to upgrade with miles due to their honeymoon, not just asking to be bumped for free.

Rome! Rome is good! My Italy Thanksgiving was pretty awesome--minus the creepy Moroccans. But that's another story.

Oh! I am soooo jealous. That is my dream trip. I want so bad to go to Italy. I would love to do and art and wine tour of Italy. *sigh*
