I just wanted to make sure that my current knowledge was correct......and to understand exactly what they do in the procedure. It was very helpful. The brace helps quite a bit, but I don't want to have to wear it forever....and it merely slows the progression of the injury.

I hate going into the doctor and they act like you have no idea what you're talking about. Or worse yet, when they have no idea what they're talking about. Last summer I had a physical and had to do a lung capacity test. I had a cold at the time and told the doc beforehand that my lungs weren't totally up to speed. When explaining the results to me he goes: "Your lung capacity isn't very good. You need to start doing cardio at least 3 times a week." HELLO! Did you miss the fact that I workout (run and swim) 3-5 times a week...and that I have a cold!?!? *sigh* Docs.

Yes, I have had some doctors do some pretty lousy things to me before I educated myself; now I tend to get 'Boy, you have a lot of knowledge on (fill-in-the-blank) subject. Some docs respond well to that and some don't. I tend to like the ones that will answer all of my questions and listen to me...
