Look! It's done!
It's not the nicest of pictures - the weather was not good enough to take pictures outside - but at least you can see what my quilt looks like now that it is all finished!Despite a lot of small imperfections (some of these blocks were among the firsts things I sewed after I bought my sewing machine) I'm happy with how it turned out!

More paperpiecing
I did not have much plans last weekend, which translated into a lot of sewing plans :-)
I finished all blocks I plan to use in my HP paper piecing quilt, except one. I am planning to make the block showing Riddle's diary, and then I can start putting it all together! These are the new blocks I made this weekend:

But I have all these ideas for what I should write about when I am at work, at the gym or other places where I either have no computer / internet access, or I am doing (and supposed to be doing) other things. ofenjen has started the "Complete your quilt-top"-challenge on hp_paperpiecing , and it has really gotten me motivated to finish my quilt-top. I am not sure if I will be able to make the July 5th deadline - but at least I want to finish it by the end of the summer - so I have a new quilt to crawl under when it starts getting dark and cold again!

Magical Quilt-blocks
I was planning on mailing the bushfire quilt project block I made last week, but I forgot to bring it to work the day I was planning on stopping at the post office at the way home. But that might have been a good thing, because now I have made another block to mail as well... So I'll be mailing the two blocks tomorrow, and post a picture of the new ( Read more... ) -
