...if it was the last day before the apocalypse, I'd go celebrate the sky, wave bye to a few people and then spend the rest of the day warm in bed.

I suspect, that whilst I wasn't looking, I have become a pebble.

Just so these don't get lost completely (although that is the fact of a lot of poetry, suitably).

Rattle-drum-rattle-drum,
Tympany on the roof's corrugation,
Splashdropping through the swaying willow leaves.
Wish-wash, sashays
Past a
Car,
Occupants crouched against the falls of water.

Warm drifting -
A new home,
An old sound.

And before my eyes have yet opened -
Silence,
The sound of sunlight.

So, my first night in what's to be my home... for the next six months. For some reason, I'd expected more permanence, but things seem to be heading rapidly in the opposite direction. Perhaps there's a lesson to be had about material security from that :P ( Read more... )
