Instead of staying in and unpacking as planned, I had a date out for lunch with an interesting guy who willingly drove me across city lines in search of books. What a charmer. I bought 3 Kurt Vonnegut, but not the one I really wanted. It all ended well, though. Maybe he'll even call again.
Aside from getting a call from My A and some texts here and there, it was Unpack Central at Casa Mona today. I managed to hang all the art on the walls, except for the damn butterfly display that refuses to sit straight. At least the bookcases are full and the kitchen’s in order.
I finished Jailbird in record time and am back on the lookout for yet another Kurt Vonnegut book. It took me two months to find this one, and after six months I still can’t lay my hands on Man Without a Country. Luckily, the hunt is a half the fun.
A lesson, learned the hard way: Be Objective. Loving someone doesn’t mean they can do as they please with you, and all the “I’m Sorry” in the world can’t make the truly bad things go away. Remember this! Remember this!
