No, you see, he didn't BOTHER saying because it was OBVIOUS. Where else was the hat going to put him but the most ~fabulous~ house! And then the second he put on the hat it was yelling, "GRYFFINDOR!" and he was all "But, but -- !" as he was shepherded off to the table, too late.
