calling the flist! geoblockers -- how to avoid?

Flist! Google has failed me! Do any of you know of a method or tutorial for how to fake an IP address to get around these horrible geoblocking things that for instance prevent you from watching Merlin clips on the BBC website if you are browsing from the US?

I used to use the-cloak. Not sure if it still works, and media is sometimes iffy.

I've tried a lot of things, and I can get to US-only and most UK-only sites with no problems, but I can't get into the BBC! (They had great Olympic coverage, we had appalling Olympic coverage, though, in return, our Paralympic coverage was awesome.)
