calapine pointed me towards the Asterix-land clip when she was here for Chicago TARDIS, and when sparky77 was here a few weeks back, we hunted down all teh dvd video diaries. ENDLESS SOURCE OF AMUSEMENT and yet more proof that I desperately need these dvds omg now please.

I still find msyelf singing "We're gonna die" and "Je ne comprende pas; je suis Anglais" out of nowhere.

Ooh. I like that. And it's probably fortunate for Arthur that he does have those gifts, otherwise his upbringing would be a very bleak place indeed.

Ok, honestly that analysis of Arthur and Uther's Bad Parenting is sort of my concept of Arthur in a nutshell. Tragic, and strangely endearing. I also think Uther's bad parenting has a lot to do with my thoughts on Morgana - that and the way she's not well-suited to an appropriate feminine role in that culture.

They have a DVD out now? That was fast. Didn't they just finish the first season a month ago?

It's the DVD of the first half of the season; the second DVD with the rest of the fist season will be out in about a month.
