Awww, llama!!! *hugs the mysterious joy-giver*

I thought for the last bits of More Joy Day I would entertain you all with a thought experiment I have rambled about to a few people before, re: fanfiction and what if in some frightening dystopian future it was somehow stamped out by a giant stompy boot of authority. :D No, wait, really, this will be ( Read more... )

Here's a Greasemonkey script I think you could use to do that: http://webvocab.sourceforge.net/

Or potentially another one: http://www.adamcrowe.com/stopcallingmeaconsumer/ (Does the same thing, replacing words and all, but the former one had those nice instructions on how to add words. I don't know how the two are coded or whether or not one's superior to the other.)

hiaku for being awesome [1] (also, hiaku of mix-n-match google search fic firefox extention dystopic future...thing):

Sam's hands twist Luthor's
hair as River curls, she calls:
"John, fly me away."

(*coughs* counting syllables=...wait, did I do it right this time? Uh, nevermind then. and, er, yes, I am a sockpuppet. but a Really Nice one. who likes cheese. and hiakus. AND YOU.)

[1]: this is because I could not decide if it was for you because I love your fanfic, because I love your vids, or because I love you for all your work with and for the otw & fandom-at-large (like YULETIDE).

Heh. I wouldn't worry too much about the syllables. Poetic forms are a real pain to adapt from one language to another.

Ahaha, GENIUS.

I already do that manually on occasion with bandom fic (replacing bandom names with CWRPS names, as those characterizations are generally the most applicable). Find/replace is my friend, but I wouldn't hesitate to replace it with a script. ;)!

Yes, that badfic thing is how I've thought of doing search and replace up to now: reductio ad anyfandom.
