This story was inspired by a conversation somewhere in the comments on a sportshoes post, which I now can't find again but just stuck in my head, about the Steelgrave and Profitt arcs, and how Vinnie might have reacted differently if things had happened in reverse order.

I really want to read this but having made the mature decision not to read any WG fic until I finally saw the first season (which I've totally been putting off for weeks and weeks and probably will get to after Christmas, realistically) I'm going to be strong and am womanfully resisting the 19,848 new reasons for me to break my word.

sp the profitt arc leaves me completely confused, but this is fantastic. Just glorious and warm and too delicious for words. I love how Vinnie tries to avoid being recruited. Just love.

I'm sure I'm not properly appreciating the AU aspect of this, but considered strictly as a love story, it's adorable. I love Theresa, and I love that Vinnie tells the truth and still gets all this, and I love how at the end basically the FBI and the Mafia are in-laws!
