Okay, so I have been fighting with the new website a bit, and so far I have only been able to get one of two things to work for the individual stories, either centering or variable width. That is -- originally I wanted to make it so that the text would have a maximum width so it wouldn't go sprawling all across the browser, but I wanted to leave it ( Read more... )

I like your site the way it is now. It's one of the most readable (readible? legible? Oh, you know what I mean!) sites out there. The design is decorated sparingly so that it doesn't distract readers, there is black text on white background, as it should be, and the text can be easily enlarged in the browser without ruining the layout. So, great job.

Also, I've just finished reading "Under the Sea". Awww! Fantastic anti-depression medicine :D

So this might be more appropriate coming through your Temeraire journel/site, but since I became a fan though your fanworks, I thought I'd tell you from here:
You saved me. Oh my god, but how. "Temeraire" arrived at my door moments before I left for a shift I was expecting to be hell-on-wheels (and was SO MUCH worse than expectations), the very thought of it waiting for me was enough to keep me from getting any complaints lodged against me ;^D. (I hope). The reality was even better than I was hoping for (and I'm only just into part two)...
So, just to say: I read your work and this LJ at least once a week, and I SWEAR on whatever seems most sacred to me at the time of posting to send you love and reviews each time I read from this date forward. OK, I'm going back to the shinyshiny NEW BOOK now ;^D times-double-face-splitting-grin

I have no real comment on the Web site's format, sorry, but I do have a question.
I was looking at your Stargate: Atlantis story and I didn't see a story that I though you had written. I can't remember the full title, but I believe it was written for the skirts challenge at SGA Flashfic.
Have I completely lost my mind? Are there some stories that you just haven't put up yet?

Nope, the story I wrote for the skirts challenge is Looking Glass -- it's on there! :-)

Hey, I really like the new website look! (I also appreciate the centered, not-so-narrow columns very much, btw, as I have a fairly high resolution, and I find narrow columns of text hard to read.)

Thought you might like to know: there are two identical links to "Payback" in the L.A. Confidential section (not that it doesn't deserve to be read twice, but, you know). Also, the story page still has the left-aligned column, instead of the centered column.
