To Whom It May Concern...

This journal is not quite friends-locked, as I tend to openly post random frivolity. But any of the "good stuff" in generally locked. So if you friend me, drop a comment, and I will see if you are worthy of my concern. *smirk*

Hi, I ran across your LJ postings while googling "Part Seen Imagined Part." I was interested to see that you're doing research on Margaret. I'm writing a book myself called The Glasgow Style--it will be a sort of update of the Larner book, focusing on collecting. Where are you studying? I'm going to the Glasgow School of Art next week to troll through their archives for book material (I'm an American who lives in New York).

Best, Laura (lauraeu at speakeasy dot net).

Hello, I stumbled upon you through one of the academic communities, and on account of your username decided to have a look on your info page. You definitely sound interesting, so if you don't mind, I'd like to add you to my friends list!

Cool!

I love my icon, I have actually had people threaten to unfriend me if I took it away. I hope they didn't mean it, but I haven't risked it yet!

love theory anonymous October 24 2007, 21:08:25 UTC
Hi Robyne,
My name is Charlotte, I am writing a history thesis on romance in 1920s and 30s New Zealand. I found your LJ post on love theory very useful for my topic and was just wondering if you had found any theory on romance? I don't have an LJ account but my email is charlotte.maree@hotmail.com if you have found anything you wish to pass on.
Thanks so much
Charlotte.

The Seven Princesses anonymous December 2 2007, 23:36:30 UTC
Did you complete your dissertation on the Opera of the Sea? I am studying the Seven Princesses and the Opera of the Sea and the Opera of the Winds, and am seeking information about their history and whereabouts. I am hoping you can help.

Hi,

I came across your lj by way of Conrad_zaar. Recently I've come upon something of a dearth of good lj reads and well, your style fits nicely with what I'm looking for. In the more immediate sense, I was hoping to read about your comments regarding Fish's latest blog entries (he's just posted part two). What do you say, friends?

Hello, and welcome! Friended you back, your writing is quite interesting, and you are from Portland! I've only moved from Eugene to Scotland a little over a year ago. So, here's hoping my locked posts measure up - they aren't very regular, and are more smarmy than profound.

I haven't actually followed up on Fish's recent comments. I'm not a regular reading, moreso a browser of the NYTimes online (when I have the time). But now that you've mentioned it, I'll look it up. Thanks!
