But did Lee need to bring up the Olympic Carrier? For three years they’ve kept it vague as to whether or not there were people on board.

I think we the viewers are unclear on whether or not there were people/dead on board, and so were Lee/Kara who were the shooters, however, since the possibility exists that they were alive, his feelings of guilt exist.

I agree, given Lee can carry the weight of the world, or the fleet in this case, on his shoulders and he dredged up every mistake (as he sees it) he made, I can see him bringing up the Olympic Carrier. Perhaps my problem is the non-reaction from those sitting there. A few shocked reactions from those not in the military sitting there would have helped to clear up some continuity issues for me.

BSG, now with 100% more LSD.

When anything can happen, it's hard to care what happens.

Not sure why the olympic carrier is such a big part of your analysis there. I didn't think it was a big deal for him to mention it, even if he didn't know the specifics.

"But to have songs with lyrics play on BSG is just wrong."

Next season, Laura will dance to Tom Petty's "American Girl." Expect a special guest appearance by Sting's abs.

"Poor Seelix. That girl cannot cut a break."

Which is why she probably has more male fans than Six this season.

The ending was pretty trippy. I did enjoy the effects though and Lee's WTF?! expression.

I have continuity issues with the Olympic Carrier. They made a point of making it vague if there were, in fact, people on board so for Lee to declare he took part in killing 1000 people seemed wrong to me. Though I do believe it is in character for him to dredge up every past wrong he feels he commited and feel intense guilt about it. Maybe I should look at it more from his POV of view rather than my (the audiance's) POV. After all, I still don't feel he commited mutiny though he feels he does. And, God, was I happy he called his father on the coup!

Lee punishing himself felt very in character to me and, gods willing, will have served as the definitive end of emo!Lee now that all of his sins have been publicly exorcized.

I buy that there's something different about the 4 music-hearers, but if Tyrol is truly a cylon, that's a real can of worms since they're still pushing the specialness of Hera, so where does that leave Nicholas?

Is the podcast up yet? I think I may actually have to listen to this one myself.

Podcast is still not up. Geez, I actually have time to listen and I want to listen and it's not there! Maybe I should check itunes...

I still don't feel Lee commited mutiny, but was forced to defend the office of the president after Adama ordered an illegal coup. But Lee is just looking at it from the perspective of a military man who disobeyed a direct order ( ... )

Oh, that's right, you're playing hooky today! Wish I could get away with a half day today, but I have a conference this afternoon and possibly have to travel for biz later this week. Poo!

I do think Papadama is now in a place where he realizes that his boy was telling the truth when he said he didn't know about Ellen. At least I hope so, or I will have to open a can of whupazz on his fat, lazy ass. The fact that dear old day was swayed by Lee's argument is fan-frakkin-tastic and gives me hope that their relationship is going to get a lot more solid next season.

Btw--thanks for linking to that article in the PG; go my local paper!!

I think they gave her pants. She still needs to show some cleavage though, apparently.

I've come to the conclusion that I just don't know what to think about a lot of this episode, and won't until I see where it's going, which could be interesting or incredibly lame. (Or maybe both; Ron does have that talent.)

She’s pissed at him. For betraying her? Making her look bad? Failing her? All of those things combined?

Probably all of them combined; and since she took Baltar's fate so personally, she felt it personally. But I wonder if finding out that Adama voted for acquittal won't soften those feelings; she had a choice, at that moment, to reject him too for turning against what she wanted, and she didn't. Maybe she realizes that carrying on her hatred for Baltar would mean turning against a lot of the important people in her life.

I hope she realizes that and I think given a bit of time she will. She needs Adama politically and I think she needs Lee's idealism and conscience. Had he still been a political advisor to her he could have perhaps guided her in a different direction. Or at least made her see that this may not turn out as she wanted. One of Laura's problems this season (other than Ron ignoring her) is that she hasn't really been challenged by anyone. And where the hell was Zarek during all this?????
