DAY 6 (March 16, 2013)

Aug 11, 2013 18:47

Forest board painting.

As volunteers, we wrote our messages and painted our thoughts in the forest boards which will be installed in the mountain trail to help extend the boardwalk for people, especially those who uses wheelchair, who wants to walk through the forest.

Then, the rest of the day was dedicated for our final workshop to prepare for our action plan and cultural presentation.

Late April, we received information that the forest boards we’ve painted had finally been installed.

I’ll definitely be back to personally walk in that once snow-covered mountain trail and see our boards.

If you get a chance to have a trip in Kuji City in Iwate Prefecture and want to leave something behind, you would be able to do so by painting your own forest board for only JPY650 for each board that you’ll be using. By all means, try doing it. It's fun and you won’t simply just be leaving something behind; you would also be able to help extend the forest boardwalk.
