The interviews/promotional videos from Frankenstein the Musical (review forthcoming) are hysterical.

First you have Hunter Foster going, "This is all really new and innovative and awesome - but it's not better than Young Frakenstein. No, really, it's not. In fact, I think you should all see both of them! In the same day, even! Because neither of ( Read more... )

Those are RIDICULOUS.
Can I just say how much I love Hunter Foster? And his sister was a wonderful Inga in YF? Except she needed bigger boobs...
Besides the point.

They should have worked with Dracula. Because Dracula, from the Concept Album is all, WOO MINA/DRACULA! HOT HOT HOT! *headdesk* Though I do love the music. And the Jekyll & Hyde music. Though Jekyll & Hyde is the ex-wife of the novella who went off and married the gardener. Or something like that.

Hunter Foster seems sweet, but he was about as good a choice to play Victor Frankenstein as Hugh Panaro was to play Lestat. Which is to say not at all. But I'll be writing a review of it, so I'll discuss that later.

Not your fault, but please, please, for the love of all the gods, don't judge Dracula by the Concept Recording. The Concept Recording is this disgusting awful thing with a terrible song called "At Last" and a few moments of pretty orchestration.

Clearly, this means that I have to upload the Broadway production for you. But not tonight.

Your description of Jekyll and Hyde is perfect.

...Which reminds me I really need a copy of Lestat. Just because I want to listen to it. Because the book was amazing. I'll be excited to read your review.

I won't judge it. The Mist is fun to sing, I don't know why. And The Master Song as well as Deep In The Darkest Night are very fun/ridiculous. Van Helsing is like METAPHORS! ATTACK!

And you're fantastic.

Hahaha, thank you! I came up with it while taking with Kirstyn, who plays Jekyll and Hyde on Ripped. We were discussing the book which I read this summer and the musical and how I went in knowing the musical first and what have you. I thought it was rather fitting. I get a kick out of saying it myself.

I can upload that too! I'm assuming you'd like the Broadway production?

The Mist is indeed incredibly fun to sing. Wait till you hear "If I Could Fly". ;) Oh, Van Helsing. *giggles*

Thank you. :)

It really is perfect. And I saw that as another who read the novella after having known the musical.

I LOVE JIM STANEK. XDDDD

And of course he's playing Henry Clerval!!! (three exclamation points!) I only heard about this a few weeks ago and it sounded pretty nifty, but the addition of Jim = PURE WIN.

Gaaaaaaaaaaaah this made my evening. I want to see this show so. freaking. badly.

He's the perfect Henry Clerval, really, he is. And he's just amazing in it. :D

*hugs you* I'm wishing very hard that it'll still be playing by the time you finally get to New York. And, in any case, we'll figure out some way to get the music to you.
