Little Miss Sunshine was good, but not as good as I was expecting it to be. I will say that Alan Arkin rocks as the heroin-addicted grandpa urging his mute grandson to "fuck as many women as humanly possibly! Do it while you're still young!" Hee.

I liked Pan's Labyrinth a lot more than I thought I would -- it's about a little girl living in Fascist Spain just before the end of WWII, who creates this imaginary fairytale world in order to escape the real horrors of the world she's living in. It's dark and fairly violent, but it's also incredibly beautiful and very, very sad. Basically, if you don't cry by the end, then you have no soul. It's that awesome. You should totally give it a chance, that is if subtitles and giggling pixies don't scare you ;)
