Didn't manage to hear it: it said I needed to install the Quick Time Player. I did that but then it just told me again that I needed to install it, so I gave up.

I hadn't heard of violet noise before. The one I find most soothing is brown noise.

Ah, I found a sample on Wikipedia that didn't require installing anything. I still prefer the brown noise (which sounds like the sea to me): I find the violet one too high-pitched.

I didn't like any of them, especially the violet. The only one I could handle listening to all the way through was pink... it did become sort of relaxing near the end, though.

I did a project for school where I smushed together a bunch of sine waves and altered various parameters until it became pink noise. Something to do with the Fourier effect, I think? It was soothing to me and excruciating to my classmates.

Oh neat. I have heard of this in the past, but not seen it in ages.

That sound was wild. It made me feel odd. Like all my nerves were on end. Very weird. I liked it.

Thanks for sharing!

ETA: The Brown Noise was fantastic. I could fall asleep in seconds to that one.
