(mostly because I don't know WHY the video sums it up for you, and thus my mind is in overdrive trying to figure out the hidden meanings for a probable obvious answer)
The Autistic experience: social disconnect, sensory overload, prejudice, Jenny McCarthyism, etc.
Oh, life is bigger It's bigger than you And you are not me
That's me in the corner That's me in the spotlight, I'm Losing my religion Trying to keep up with you And I don't know if I can do it Oh no, I've said too much I haven't said enough
gahhh. what an amazing song. I must say though I prefer the Tori Amos cover. I listened to it to death when i was going through a hard time learning about myself a while back. I love songs like this. They really put things into perspective. Everyone I know so often forgets that we are just organisms consuming and learning and the world is a lot bigger than any of us. They all think they are gods gift. All get caught up in trivial pathetic social problems and relationship struggles. It makes me want to give them all a reality check.
I'm just wondering, is this a common view amoungst Autistic people? I've observed it's quite common.
Ooh, I've never heard the Tori cover! I love, love, love her. (By the way, I'm not ignoring the question you posed. I just don't have a worthwhile response to it. Maybe someone else will though).
