Recipient: embossedsilver Title: Kids Rating: G Characters: Jaime/Cersei, Tywin Lannister, Tommen Baratheon Word Count: 1628 words Summary: Patterns repeat themselves in Jaime Lannister’s life. But then, they never are quite the same.
EEE! Thank you so much! This was adorable (well, anything involving Tommen and kittens is adorable). It's interesting to see Jaime's thoughts toward his children, especially as he's trying to rebuild his life.
I really like how you portray all of relationships in the first part. Especially Jaime and Cersei's games, but also Tywin/Joanna and Tywin with his children. And how that's reflected in the second part, with Jaime trying not to fall into the same patterns that his father did with him.
Jaime Lannister had never thought of himself as a father, but nothing in his life had ever turned out as he had meant it to be.
As he let his left hand ruffle his son’s golden locks for one short instant, Jaime thought that maybe all was not lost after all.
This is really sweet. I especially loved the parts about Tywin, because that's definitely how he would have behaved at that time. He breaks my heart. And the second part with Jaime and Tommen was utterly adorable, and not just because of the kitten. ;)
Thanks! I'm a huge fan of Tywin (even though he's a bastard) and I think it ends up showing in the fic.
Loved your fic, BTW. I thought it was deep, unique, and beautifully written! Not many people write about Stannis, but one fic like yours is worth 20 fics by itself!
It does, but that's a good thing. I adore Tywin, he and Kevan are the only Lannisters I really care about, but I love them all the more for it.
Thank you so much. :) That reminds me, I need to go and reply to my comments. I'm really flattered that you liked my fic so much. I've written quite a few Stannis fics before (don't know if you've read them), but sometimes I feel like there are about two other people who write about him on a more regular basis. ;)
