ooooooo. Is this the beginning of a series, because I want to know more! How did this happen? How the hell does Harry Potter, age eleven, end up sheltering under Snape's desk? Are we in for microchan, or even nanochan?
Lots of great, economic words here: kneehole, reverberations, plucked. Bang for the buck, lol.

When I thought about the prompt, I imagined an AU world where little Harry Potter would go to Snape for comfort when he's scared. I imagined his reasoning being that he couldn't hear the storm as well in the dungeons and that no one (not even monsters) would dare invade Snape's rooms.

I truthfully don't know if this will go any farther, but if next week's prompt urges me that way, I'll write it.

How does the snarry 100 work? I just commented on alisanne's latest drabble that I was getting to like them, and maybe should write them.

Oh, you should! snarry100 is really pretty laid back. Every thursday the prompt is posted and then you can write a 100 word drabble using the prompt, or not if the muse doesn't strike. Some people write more than 100 words, but leave it in blocks of 100.

I find I love writing the 100 word drabbles as it challenges me to write really tight prose. The one I just wrote was 106 words when I first finished it. Then I had it down to like 94, etc.

Hmm, this is fascinating! How did Harry come to be under the desk and why is Severus reading to him? They're both acting like it's so normal! Great drabble.

The snarry100 sounds so cool! (insane, but cool :D) Are all the drabbles going to be connected, or will they stand alone, or what? *is excited for more tiny Snarrylets*

This comment appears to contain more question marks than periods. I'm bad at reading drabbles, lol.

LOL. I love it when the comment is almost longer than the actual drabble!

I did kind of construct a little AU world in my head where little Harry would come to Snape for comfort when he's scared (because he can't hear the storm so much in the dungeons, and nobody, not even a monster, would dare challenge Professor Snape).

I'm not sure if I'm going to write these drabbles all in the same 'verse or not. *ponders*

Hm, well it certainly is a potentially fruitful-sounding verse. Everything would have been different if Harry had gotten over his fear/hatred of Snape so early in his Hogwarts career. Or at least if he had some good impressions to mix with the bad...

Absolutely! And Harry would have already heard of the Hallows if Snape had read him Beedle Bard.

Isn't it fun to imagine how just one little change to canon would have impacted Harry's story?

Hmm, interesting premises of Harry listening to Tales of Beedle the Bard ..opening plot multiple lines, hopefully all of them extremely slashy and snarrish;)

Thanks! I guess he'd have at least heard of the Hallows if he'd been read the book when he was young!

I think I can understand Harry - probably the safest place in the world.

I really hope you are going to write more Snarry goodies soon.

Yep, to this Harry, the dungeons and Severus represent safety.

Yep, more Snarry to come...
