Granny took me to see Nigel Kennedy play 4 Seasons with the MSO last night, and because we got sucked into synergy marketing in the form of Readings selling his CDs in the foyer, we both have double CDs of the concert. I'm listening to them, now, and I must say, I'm disappointed - they're not a patch on the live performance. Maybe I need to listen ( Read more... )

I don't even know what it is about stationery! I mean, why stationery, and not shoes or something? At least it's cheaper. But it's not like I have to get good quality stuff or anything. Most of the orders were generic supplier brand, unless there was a pretty colour we could order it in for another brand. I just like sifting through it I guess. I'm also an officeworks freak.

I'm not surprised to hear it was sold out. It was very crowded last night. It was fantastic to hear it live, but I'll lend you the CDs. Now that I've listened to them a bit more, I'm hearing the funky stuff I heard last night.

Apparently Great Violin Swap 2006 happened at most of his concerts. When you consider how much he bashes his strings when playing the loud agressive parts, I'm not surprised. And yes it was extremely hilarious. Poor inside last desker wasn't out of action for too long, because he fixed up his violin at the end of the movement
