I usually fall asleep pretty easily, but if I'm having trouble there's usually not a time limit - I'll just keep trying until it's time to get up. I usually fall asleep eventually, but if I stop trying then there's no chance.
It depends on the night. Sometimes I'm pretty content to lay there for a while, if I'm comfortable and feel like my body is at least resting. Other nights 45 minutes or an hour is all I can take before I give up.
Most nights I fall asleep within two minutes of laying in bed. But on those rare nights, if I'm struggling to fall asleep within an hour or two of tossing and turning, I'd probably wake up to watch TV for a little while.
