Does this count as a project update?

Tomb Raider is settling in at the Hub as if she owns the place, which if you know anything about cats is only right and proper.

I've got in a supply of organic cat food and I have a self-cleaning cat box on order, although she seems to be content to use Myfanwy's nest at present. At first, Myfanwy didn't quite know what to make of her; she was a ( Read more... )

It is exactly what the Hub needs to make it purr-fect!

The emotional trauma will be minimal because cats are gross, Martha!

Theresa and I maintain a baffled distance.

Cats are not gross! They're far cleaner than dogs. You just don't like her because she doesn't slobber all over you like Theresa does.

Those are kisses, Martha.

It's not 'slobber' when I kiss you is it????

You haven't kissed me in so long, perhaps I've forgotten! :(

Tomb Raider will kiss you too, once you let her. Just ignore her and sit quietly for a bit, and she'll jump on your lap and proceed to lick your hand. You'll like it; her tongue tickles!

Tomb Raider is adorable!

I just want to pick her up and put her in a cutebox and scratch behind her little ears all day long!

Ooooooh! She loves that!

Yes she does! I love it when she chases the laser pointer too!

Aww! She's chasing it up the wall.

I'm making her a whirly-toy thing out of my troll pen.

We need one of those kitty fishing rods to tease her!

SHE WAS COLD! SHE NEEDED VERY REAL LOVE AND GAVE VERY REAL LOVE BACK!!!!!

JUST DON'T TAKE HER AWAY FOR 2000 YEARS! THAT WAS SAD :-(

I would never dream of taking her away for 2000 years! Did someone do that to you, honey? That was a horrible thing to do!

You can even come to the vet with us, if you promise not to interfere with the other animals. Tomb Raider would be jealous, and so would I!

Don't appropriate my trauma! It was only 3 hours to you! It was 2000 years to ME!

What? Oh my God, what happened?

Well you tell the cat to stay out of sublevel six, I don't want her hissing at the Weevils. She's done quite enough damage terrorising Myfanwy already!

I've stacked the cat food in the pantry and there is a tin of catnip FAR FAR AWAY FROM THE CONFERENCE ROOM AND JACK'S OFFICE, please keep it that way, in the supply cupboard near Gwen's desk. Kitty treats next to the nip. A Torchwood standard issue branded collar is on order.

It's a good thing I am well-practiced at partitioning my reactions.

Your ability to compartmentalise is ... terrifying impressive, honey.

Thank you for setting things up so nicely. I'm sorry she got her fuzzy mouse stuck in the subetheric resonator. I hope it didn't clog the filter too badly.

It blew out three circuits, but the filter itself is all right and the circuits pop right out. Probably needed changing anyway.

The toy, I fear, has been converted into neutral atoms and spread across the Cardiff area roughly from Gabalfa to Llandough.

That's why fuzzy mice only cost 50p. They're meant to be disposable. I bought twelve!
