Well, if the real Sakura turns out not to need the feathers (and I'm not ruling out the possibility that she will need to recover memories, if she's been rewound to age 7), then I suspect that the feather will become a power source for something, the way the other feathers did in Piffle or Edonis or when Shaoran used one to pass into the dream-world. We know that Maru and Moro are having trouble maintaining the shop, particularly maintaining the wards against Fei Wong's attacks. It seems very possible that Yuuko is going to use the feather to help hold the shop in place or to shield Watanuki when the shop is inevitably attacked directly.

If we use the theory that the Holic timeline is now behind TRC, maybe Yuuko needed the power of the feather to transport the TRC gang to the weird Clow world. Because the magic she used then was different from the one she used when she transported Syaoran to Acid Tokyo, so we know she wasn't using her normal 'Transport people to other worlds' magic. Maybe she needed some connection to Sakura to send them to that specific time.

Would you know, by any chance, when the last Tsubasa appearance was in Holic? It seems like the best way to tell would be to find that and then move forward comparing Yuuko's outfits to those in her Tsubasa appearances.

The last time TRC appeared in Holic was when Watanuki was pulled into the dream world and he saw Sakura and Syaoran. That's when he lost his glasses.

In TRC we know at least a day passed between then and when Yuuko transported them to Clow because we see everyone resting at night. With Holic though there's really no clue to how much time has passed since then beyond the fact that Watanuki is still without his glasses. I can't see Watanuki wanting to go long without his glasses so it's possible they're still on the same day as when Watanuki last entered the dream world.

Hmmmm. In reviewing Yuuko's last appearance in Tsubasa, she's wearing the kimono with the butterfly wings at the back of the obi. The last time we saw her wearing that in Holic was when Watanuki was questioning whether or not he was human. So either the trip to Severed Time occurred in the period while 'Nuki was out of it like whoa and Holic is now actually ahead of Tsubasa, or Yuuko has--gasp--repeated an outfit. The only other one I can think of her repeating is the black dress she wore when the Tsubasa group first showed up (also wore for making Ashura and Yasha gods and meeting R!Shaoran), and that's clearly her dress for very solemn I AM THE WITCH OF THE DIMENSIONS, BITCHEZ moments.

If Kohane had the feather, then she had it before getting the dream balloon, which means that theory is bust. But there must be some point in the dream balloon or Kohane would never have gotten it. Where is this plot point going?
