Loved this:

They treated her like poultry, in those farms when they turned off the light to make the animals believe the sun had set so that they would lay more eggs. Except that she was not chicken, and it was just about disorientating her.

*shudders*

Thank you! This image seemed really fitting in my mind because I see all the Alternates as evil, but I wasn't sure people would see it my way..; and it made me ponder if the rating I indictaed was actually right...

I can't decide who's evil at this point. The Alt-Verse has suffered and they need to defend themselves. But I think we can agree that wWlternate isn't the same as our own mad, lovable Walter.

I can't help but question their motives... why send a Charlie clone at the beginning of season 2? And why do they send Alternate!Olivia there too? I agree that they have suffered, mostly Walternate who lost his son, but the other characters...

I really enjoyed this. I love how you describe the way she perseveres and manages to defy their attempts to break her. It's kind of a strange way because it's not like she's really holding onto her sanity as you put, but through these hallucinations she doesn't have to feel alone.

This was a fake debate if she was honest. Even if she had known, she still would have stuck to one passionate kiss, because getting him out was more important. This is a great insight to Olivia's character. What I love about the kiss in Over There was that (unlike in Jacksonville), she went for something she wanted for once, world-saving be damned. But, in the end, she's still as selfless as ever because yeah...if she had to go back, she'd probably only give him that one kiss because his safety was important than anything. Just like I feel like if she went back to that moment in Jacksonville, she'd force herself to forgo the kiss still most likely because saving the people in the building at the time was more important. In both cases, the loss of ( ... )

You're very welcome. I agree that Olivia is a fighter, a survivor, which is why I love that you highlighted her perseverance (think mid-S1 when she was captured by Loeb and his people, then managed to escape). I totally agree that despite her terrified expression at the end, she's going to learn to work through her own fears and find a way to defy them. Even if she can't make her way out of there by herself, she's going to do something to not let them win.

The ambiguity is really fitting for the tone of your piece. I'm glad you decided to end it that way!

There's so many parts of this I loved that it would take forever to name them all, so I'll just say this. The characterization you showed of Olivia is spot on; she's grown so much since season one that it would be out of characters for her to not show this much emotion towards Peter, or even her work. And that's why I love her so much, she's a fighter, she never gives up, even when her mind says too.

Thank you so much! I thought this was Olivia as I saw her, and I'm glad people don't find her OOc in this!
I love Olivia and how much she's grown in the span of just two seasons, she's one of my fav characters on tv nowadays, hence me being quite anxious trying to write a piece about her...

Thank you again!

OH WOW ASH. This made me want to write a Fringe fic, but it couldn't be THIS GOOD anyway! Great great great! I love it.

The only thing she could rely on was the fact that if he were ever to speak to her, he would speak her name the way he always did, "'Livia," cutting the O off, and making it sound like a caress.

My favorite line!

I'm sure you would write something even better!

I just, idk, in a weird way I felt like I had this dark piece needing to be written inside of me... So I wrote it... I like that people are liking the results, I was afraid people who find it too violent, or say that it triggered them or something (everybody is complaining about author not putting enough warning before their fics)

And I really adore the way Peter has this nickname for Olivia... Cause it is! Livia... He always forgets the O, like it's not needed between them... *makes no sense*. And I love that he started doing it like in the second episode!
