I went up once in a Piper Super Cub with an aerial photographer who thought he was Chuck Yeager. Remind me at T-Con and I'll tell you the story.

My first time flying was in my early teens in a little 4-seater (maybe glider?) with my best friend. The plane was owned by a friend of his family's, and he took us up for about half an hour. His sister was supposed to come with us but she chickened out, so it was kind of special time with my friend, who I was starting to fall for. I remember that I was nervous and he was excited, but he was the one that threw up as soon as we hit the ground, and I had a blast.

As I look back, I don't recall getting permission from my folks to do this, but my friend's mother had driven us to the airstrip so I guess the guy didn't worry about it.
