MY HOUSEMATE IS MISSING.

OK, here's the story.
She left early (like 5am) on the 22nd of October to go to Madrid.
I assume it is with friends.
(In hindsight, not asking enough details about this trip is probably the stupidest thing I've ever done.)
She told me she'd be back on the 28th (last Sunday).
It is now Friday the second of November.
She has not ( Read more... )

OMG SCARY. unfortunately, i dont think there's much you can do. i know it's hard, but i'd let your landlady handle it.

I don't know about how it works in the UK, but in Germany there's the possibility to let radio stations broadcast a short note for people to call back at home or whatever in case of an emergency.

Is there a radio station your housemate is usually listening to? Maybe you could let them broadcast that she should call you?!?

I don't know, just an idea. Otherwise I fear you'll have to wait and let the landlady handle it like Lissie said.
I hope she'll call you soon to let you know she's ok!

thanks >_<
we tried calling her again, this time her phone is completely dead, no dial tone even.
we've decided to wait till Sunday, and if she still doesn't turn up I'll have to try and find her family's contact details from her school or sth. I don't know where her school is, I'll have to ask around her gym >_<
This is like some crime fiction gone wrong...

Hmm. If you have her cell number, do you know the company she uses? because maybe you could call them and explain and ask when the last call out was. Not any details, but just the date and time - at least then you'd know. They may laugh at you and say no way - but at leats you'd have done something other than wait. And if the info isn't helpful, or reassuring at all, then call the police. I wouldn't wait until Sunday - because even if you both think you know nothing helpful - at least the police have ways of discovering her whereabouts.

A week is a long time not to call or show up at home. Maybe it's nothing - maybe she decided to stay another week - but maybe it's not and it's better to be safe than sorry IMO.
