I'll try to bring this over to a few communities tomorrow but, until then, please pass this it along. Feel free to blog, tweet, re-tweet, tumble, share, link... or for those 'adventurous-sorts' there are a few alternative choices such as: streaking at a national event, getting a tattoo, skydiving giving info to nearby birds. (This is why I shouldn't type at 7:01am with no sleep XD)

Also, we wanted to let you know that the awesome, Ryfee, agreed to be make the icon & banner... Her dedication to FFVIII in both written and visual media is outstanding. Thank you! ;)

I'm still not in bed, hoping to make it before 8 in the morning! Thanks for the support over the years; we didn't know how it would go, but for a fandom that's been slowly dying, maybe it's one last 'Hooray!' Plus, I like to think that we can all work together to have fun. ;)

If it works, we may try it with all the other characters and/or the game as a whole, but this was a semi new concept at least for us. We just hope people will participate, every little icon, story, or piece of art begins to add up.

...Although we need a name as 'challenge' doesn't really encompass everything as a whole; then again, it's not really like a Big-Bang or mini NaNoWriMo either. We just had to use something as a placeholder for now XD

I think challenge is a fine way of describing it, since that it kind of what it is: a writing challenge to meet that criteria by a certain deadline. :) I'm exciting, since while I know I will not be able to finish the long story I've been working on for years (coughcough), it's great to have something that forces me to write something longer than 1000 words! And to write something happy, since as I said in my email, I tend to gravitate towards less happy in a lot of ways even though I want nothing more than for the two of them to have a brilliantly joyful life together. :)

You know, technically we're allowing all type of fanworks. I have someone looking into making rings/pins (something along those lines) and you're so creative too! Seriously, the scarf is hanging about an arm’s length away, draped over the computer doors (as it’s more like an amour, but I so never close anymore. I have way too much ‘stuff’ hanging on it. ~_^) Anyways, I’m sure you could come up with something. I think that's what's so fun about this - it's not 'normal.' All you’d have to do is take a picture and submit it after August 1st

I am actually thinking making another playlist. I have a whole bunch of half-completed ones on my computers, mostly based around my own various head canons, so it's really just a matter of finalizing the song choices and making some cover art. Beyond that... Maybe arts and crafts. I'm going to be selling stuff at a convention I'm going to in November, maybe I'll try and make some Squall/Rinoa stuff to sell

This sounds like an awesome idea and I already have something in mind that I have wanted to write for years about these two but never had a push or a reason to. This looks like just the thing. It's an AU but it looks like the guidelines say this is okay ^^

I'm off to find the notebook I jotted all the ideas in.

The response has been simply amazing. When I thought of this, I was hoping to get maybe ten people - so asked Niqsta and Emerald first. I figured between them and Ronin, there was at least four of us! Still, after we came up with the guidelines and announced it, it seem to really catch on.

Sorry again, I'm so far behind on responses (as you know, LOL) as trying to balance this and finishing up After the Fall is quite a feat. Heck, I haven't even started writing anything yet, but honestly I've managed to take procrastination and make it into a true art form.

So please, if you get the chance help spread the word here on LJ. We're looking for anyone, so you if you know communities or fandom friends who may not know, nudge them in the right direction.

Oh, and I love AUs. I've often thought might be my next attempt. I've started two at one point, just never finished or even posted them. So, I for one, will be anxiously awaiting your story. Thanks again for doing this, it means a ton!

I'm truly honored at how many people are joining. Honestly, at first, I was hoping for maybe ten, but we are well past that now. ;)

This is such a great way to get new and old writers and artists together. I know the fandom is dying, but I'd like to think of this as one last moment we can all be a family.

I've been working on this one story so long that it will be wonderful just to relax. I plan to spend the whole month reading and enjoying all the works. I plan to read and review each one, it's only the smallest way of thanking everyone for their support, I owe the readers so much.

Thanks again and if you can, please, please spread the word on any writing/icon/art communities you know. I'm not that active on LJ anymore. I tried to post it to the Squall and Rinoa community, but it was in moderation; I doubt it will be checked anytime soon.
