I could never quite manage to understand the purpose behind foisting them off on some other poor unfortunate whose only crime was being in the wrong place at the time of my acquiring said difficulty. Then I lost the naiveté of childhood and became an adult ( Read more... )

Na, Rufus, I think that's just your ultra-polite way of saying 'someone PLEASE take this scantily-clad female employee of mine off my hands!'. Right, right?

Rufus, this woman does sound wonderful. As much as I care about you and am glad that you are being so generous, I'm afraid that there's a...

No, nevermind. I'm sorry.

No, it's just nice that you're being so generous and friendly..though it is very different... I just hope there isn't an angle and that I can truly trust in you that, for whatever reason, you've decided to be kinder to all the inhabitants of Vertere.

Do not worry, Yuna. This is indeed something truly beneficial to the citizens of the city. Rufus understands this very well and I commend this effort entirely.

...... Rufus, I applaud your selflessness in this matter and wish nothing but the best of success for our... er... female acquaintance in finding a suitable companion. I'll be locked up in my room hiding like a coward until you get her shacked up with someone....

Why thank you, Reeve. I am pleased to know that you support my finding her some friends. You would not happen to know anyone I could pawn her off on introduce her to, do you? I wish I had the luxury of that option. You are a lucky man, never forget that.

My pleasure, Rufus. Although I regret to say that I cannot think of anyone I hate enough trust enough for this matter. Although, isn't there a pirate around or something? He might be right up her alley. What option? I can't leave the mansion without a bloody babysitter anyway. ... on the other hand, that rather insures my safety from her, doesn't it? I don't think she'd be insane enough to invade the mansion.

A man with what appears to be a penchant for violence has expressed an interest in her. Though I fear this opportunity might be too good to be true. Now you know I feel. With Scarlet, it depends. There is an unusually large number of attractive men residing in the mansion. I suspect that it is only a matter of time before she launches her assault.
