I was a president omce, a very long time ago.

It feels as if it were ages ago. In reality, it has only been five or six years since I controlled most of Gaia.

For a short time, yes. I inherented the family company upon my father's death, and it was the de facto government of the world from which I come. There was an incident that destroyed my city and sent the rest of the world into ruin. Now power is split between my company and an organization called the WRO.

It was a trying time, to be sure.

If such a thing were possible, I would like nothing else. However, as much as I wish it could be rebuilt, I do not think neither the planet nor the people would tolerate it.

I too wonder if the purpose of this place is to cause misery and suffering. If that is the case, I plan on doing whatever I can to disrupt that purpose.

In truth, I do not know. Happiness was not something I could afford, and so I have little experience with it. I have, however, been content. A good book, a bit of solitude, and a glass of cognac goes a long way in putting me at ease.

[ooc; Uh oh. Nina should know that fixing Rufus is probably five times as difficult as fixing Sephiroth. ^_^]
