[He's using voice for this post, despite it being annoying, because geez people. All this concern and being nice and stuff. It's distracting, And he has something to suggest that deserves the attention much more.]It seems several here are beginning to develop the new abilities we have been granted while here. However, in order to practice some, ( Read more... )

Are you sure that it's safe? [Because she's been wondering about it, herself.] Has anyone had any problems with those kinds of powers hurting someone?

I'm not certain. There is like an element of risk involved, but the benefit of developing something such as a healing ability would outweigh the risk.

You're probably right.

[She's still hesitant, though.] But how do you intend for it to be practiced? [What she doesn't say is, 'you're not going to hurt people on purpose, are you?']

Those willing to be involved would presumably cause themselves a minor injury, to allow the healer to attempt to repair it. This would ideally be done in pairs of those with similar abilities, so that they can switch who is taking which action and both have opportunity to practice.

I'm just saying that up until I put my neck out to rescue Larry and Moe, I was doing fine with gods.

I'm aware.

I'm not aware how that's relevant to this. We are unfamiliar with this world's gods, and learning to use the abilities we've been given in place of our natural ones is wise.

Um... how do you find out what power you have? 'Cause nothing's really happened to me yet, I feel just the same...?

[She's got power lending, so an occasion hasn't exactly presented itself.]

I was starting to think I was the only one who missed the seminar on figuring out what the hell our new upgrades are.

[Oh, new voice! But she definitely agrees.]

No, I don't really get it either. I've heard about people throwing fire and levitating and stuff, but I dunno if I can do anything. I don't even know how I'd make it happen if I did - do you just concentrate really hard?

With all this snow, maybe you'll catch a cold and start sneezing fire. ( She hums thoughtfully. ) But people seem to be fitting into a pattern, right? Like, this guy, he says that people in Heimdall can absorb damage, so I guess it's a matter of talking to others in your house and seeing what they can do. I'd still feel ridiculous just standing around, thinking really, really hard about levitating, though.

I would say it is a good idea. I have no knowledge at how to bring this power to surface.

I don't believe many of us do. If we need use of this ability in an emergency, having training with it would be of benefit.

-- Yes. You are most correct. I will like to train it. If it could help at times of need, then I'll master it.

Do you have damage absorbing ability as well?

Does absorbing damage not imply that damage has to be caused, first and foremost?

[ not that she's Heimdall, but. ]

It does.

And you would suggest intentional injury?

Self-inflicted, minor damage, yes.
