I tried to get up, but instead tripped over my own feet and landed face down on the carpet, vomit oozing out of my misshapen mouth. Shit, I thought. I drank too much. When I took the bus across Canada last year, I remember feeling relieved when we finally entered Manitoba. I was also excited to see the prairies, and had my nose practically glued to the window to see the "start" of the prairies.
