Perhaps it's cheesy and dumb, but I've been looking for a 'safe' passive-aggressive-type way to express this:

If there is someone on your friends list who makes your world a better place just because they exist
and who you would not have met (in real life or not) without the internet,

My journal exists.
Something writes it, and that 'exists'.
Though that doesn't mean this existence is not some mixtures of scripts/programs/cron/perl/ A.I./etc. etc. ...
i.e. one and zeroes that 'exist' on a disk somewhere ... which generates the ones and zeroes, that you are presently reading.

Besides which, it seems a great leap of faith on your part. Since you have no idea what I am, much less what my existence may or may not entail. Those who are familiar with such things generally beg to differ.
