I wanted a book. One book. I knew I could get one at the used book store, I didn't think I could find a new crisp one like I wanted, but I had to check, before I plop down retail price for something I can get cheaper.
some of those prices are excellent. i need Catcher in the Rye for 95 cents. One of my creepy ex boyfriends 'borrowed' it, and never ever returned it. and i had underlined and highlighted stuff in it too! jerk.
I never read Slaughterhouse V, Breakfast of champions was my first try at Vonnegut and i'll never try again, i totally LOATHED that book.

Some of those prices are excellent. I think my used bookstore rocks, but I've never been to another, so I wouldn't know for sure... they're funny some stuff is a bit over priced and some is way-under priced in my opinion... I would've bought half of what I did, had the prices been higher.
i need Catcher in the Rye for 95 cents. I lost my copy too, or I think I lost it, I couldn't find it, thus the new one. Though I don't intend to go back anytime soon, should I keep my peeled for one next time?

yes if you find a cheap one again sometime, let me know!
Though really you have inspired me to go to my own local used book store and see if i can find one for myself...i've been doing far too much amazon.com book shopping lately and my credit card is suffering from overuse!
and you may like Slaughterhouse V, many of my friends absolutely love vonnegut. I just felt like breakfast of champions was dumbed down and had a lot of buildup to absolutely nothing even though he tried to be shocking. i know that is some kind of genius writing style, however i fail to see the genius in explaining to your adult audience what thigns like "underwear" and "apples" are...

I always have to remember with Amazon Used stuff +3.50 for shipping, and the fact you don't get to exam it beforehand. Since I have the cool-est bookstore ever I will always look there first, especially if it's something that's not new.
Technical (Computer Programming) books are the worst, I've paid +$20 for used ones ... I have no idea how much money I wasted before I discovered Amazon , its used section, and Bookpool, buying them affordably is an art ... this other stuff is so much easier.
If I don't 'hear' anything from you about Catcher in The Rye I'll try to find a good copy next time I visit.
