I joined acad_anon awhile back, but don't read it that much any more. The rape jokes in the thread about DNA samples being taken from employees at the University of Akron, which is near me, were the last straw. And then the wilfull misunderstanding of the really sharply put complaint. What a bunch of dicks!
I get so tired of this crap. -

NPR: WTF? Bad Science.
This story, "Can positive thoughts affect another person" is bad, irresponsible journalism on so many levels. First off, correlation does not equal causation! No sex, please, we're American teens. Women, however, are mysterious!
The kids are all right. Wholesome, even! I may use this article from the NYTimes for my 101 class. American teens are not having very much sex. Unfortunately, condom/contraceptive use seems to have fallen off.
