I forgot to let y'all know about Adie. She was in the ER for 8 hours, and everything came back negative. No abscess, thank God. So, they sent her on her way. I think that because she was off of her pain meds for fibromyalgia (and whatever else is causing her pain) she has been having extra pain -- not just from the surgery. Definitely! When Sasha called to let me know everything was okay, it was almost anti-climactic. I mean, after waiting for that long, you think they'd find something... then you think, NO, WAIT! That's GOOD news! LOL

Hurrah indeed!

That is very good news. Adie has had a fairly serious operation, and weird pain may just be one of the post-operative symptoms. But good news overall. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

You're right, Hutch -- it was serious even though it was "keyhole" surgery. I'm sure her body is still reeling from the assault upon it.

Yes. They call it `keyhole' surgery and we all focus on the `keyhole' bit rather than the `surgery' bit. I'm sure it's preferable to the surgery she would have had ten, fifteen, twenty years ago, but it's still surgery.

You're right, of course. I had gall bladder surgery 31 (OMW) years ago, and believe me, it was much different! And had appendectomy on Christmas day of 2000, and they left a big long scar. I'm impressed that she has only 5 small incisions but you are right, it is still surgery!

I'm breathing again, what a relief! Thank heavens it was nothing serious! Thanks so much for telling us, I was worried.
I'm sure you are very relieved.
Kids! Someone failed to tell us about the life-long worry we would have...we probably wouldn't have listened anyway. :)

LOL you are right! You think that you won't worry any more but that umbilical cord is never REALLY cut, is it?
