Yes, I think there is a cultural difference too. I don't think the doctors over there would like to see me walk through the door. :)

Having been a nurse makes me rather assertive at times. I've had my husband sign himself out of a hospital that was bent on killing him with outrageous treatment. When I told another facility what they intended to do, they were as shocked as I was. :(

I've seen to many shenanigans in operating rooms to trust any doctor completely! And after reading your husband's book, I don't have much faith in scientific research either! ;)
It helps to know D has a sister there to help, that's for sure!

It's rough when a parent gets that age and a child is so far away when they are ill. It's rough on you too, I know.
