Yesterday, the repairman came to fix my motorized chair, and it was something very simple after he figured out what it was, exactly. And then, I had my chair back, my wonderful, mobilizing, freeing chair ( Read more... )

Bleh, some people suck. I'm so sorry a coward ass was able (and brave enough) to do this. I hope they sleep well at night.

You don't have to be very brave to send an anonymous letter, in my opinion. I wish they'd really get to know the real me.

My conscience would never *ever* allow me to do this, so whoever is able to must be willing to let it eat at them for the rest of their lives. In my opinion, that's one brave move.

What ever are they getting out of this? Not even the pride of standing up for their screwed up convictions by signing a name. Absolutely no good has come of this, not even of their end.

you're right about that. It *was* brave, in the light you've presented.

Except that they may get a rush from being talked about here. And a rush to know that they made me hurt. Sick.

Ug, this is awful!
If you want, I could check and see if there are any independent living centers in your area? they might help you. Hugs.

We contacted them, and they told us about the USDA loans, but we aren't poor enough to qualify. I appreciate the suggestion and help so very much, though!

Oh my, some folks just are so cruel. I would ask for a face to face with this person. Personally, I think this person is full of it. Probably never had the money to begin with. I don't know you very well at all, but you sound like a truthful person and a person of modest means.
Good luck, hope you find the answer. Turn it over to God. He'll provide the answers.

Thank you for all the kind things you said. I'm trying to turn it over to God, but somehow I keep taking it back! You know how that is, right? Being human is such a trial sometimes!

I think that letter came from a mean-spirited person, but totally not legit. No signature, no address, and very similar to a previous comment on your blog. If they were serious, there are many ways to investigate if they had doubts; a negative decision would never be made merely from a blog. So be hurt at what is probably just a cruel joke, but don't feel like you lost your chance. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems to me that a serious donor would work through a community/government organization or a church.

Placing the whole ramp situation in God's hands is the only way to go, but that doesn't mean that you can't continue to explore options. I have faith that He will provide in His time. I love you and I pray for you.

thanks, pianolady31. I think you are right on all counts. And the only thing I can really do *is* to put it in God's hands. I love you too!
PS I just love that pic of you!

I think the letter reflects more on the persons own integrity than yours.

In my eyes if you're making a statement about someone that you believe is true then there is no reason to hide your name like this, person, has. So the fact that they are unwilling to place their name with the criticism to me indicates they know it is unjustified.

That's what I thought when I first read it. But then all those niggling doubts came pecking at me. Thanks for the validation.
