yesterday, we went to see my endocrinologist, who gave me an excellent report of my blood work. Cholesteral, blood count, everything is looking really good. The infection I've been fighting (which seems to be returning in my sinus, believe it or not, and I'm still on Levaquin) has caused my blood sugars to be up so my A1c was 7.6, which I am NOT ( Read more... )

Glad to hear that most of the news is good! Keep getting better, By Order.

And have a super Christmas. Do not let Bear get carried away with the spirit of it all and try to climb down the chimney -- not even after his second glass of WalMart cointreau-like liqueur.

Yes sir! I will, sir! :)

No, the chimney is screened off at the top, for that very reason. you never know when he might get a wild hair and want to shimmy down it!

Hope you are feeling well, and having fun today/tonight/tomorrow. Is it just the two of you tonight?

Father, i lift up kathryn and dear bear before you, and i ask You to touch their bodies with healing this day. i know that it's not Your will that they should be suffering such infirmaties, and i claim for them the assurance of Your Word that You want them to live long and to be of good health.please, Lord, go with bear as he undergoes this test, and grant peace concerning it to him as well as to kathryn. send Your Holy Spirit along with them to fortify their spirits and give them peace! and, Lord, i'm asking in faith that you touch kathryn's body as well, and cure this stubborn infection, and eradicate it from her body, never to return! i ask that you completely regulate her sleep patterns so that she sleeps at night and enjoys wakefulness by day. i ask You to cure adie of this food poisoning, and let her learn from this to cook her food! i ask that You watch over adie, sasha, emmie, and aaron, keep them under Your cloak of protection, and set their feet firmly on the path that you would have them take.Lord, i ask You to bestow ( ... )

Thanks, Lisa, I appreciate that. And I agree with it! Poor Adie came over tonight and is still rather ill. It will be a very subdued evening, that's for sure.

Food poisoning is way not fun. Been there, done that, and wish I couldn't remember it.

Yay for good labs!

I hate shopping close to Christmas. It's too crazy - and it brings out the worst in so many people. :( I buy stuff throughout the year because a) sometimes you just find THE perfect gift in April, b) avoid the insanity of holiday shopping, and c) it really helps defray the cost of gifts!

Poor Adie felt ill off and on all evening. She was a trooper though. It was so good to see her.

I try to collect Christmas gifts through the year, too. In fact, we have a "Christmas box" that we save presents in. We didn't have to buy many things at all within the last few weeks, except the PJ's for Emmie. We just had to get the food supplies, and apparently so did everyone else!

Thanks so much for your kind words. I will receive that snow snail mail gladly, and so will Bear if it means a snow day!

I hope your Christmas is warm and safe, and that it is a special one because it is your first in your new home.
